My role:
Take over and finish all app screens with relation to the Open Earbuds (Out of Box, Product Controls, Settings).
Outline all in app product imagery and illustrations then work with illustrator and Marketing to deliver assets.
Work with development engineering team to test and review all implemented designs.
Process
I joined the program 6 months before product launch and served as sole app UX designer (iOS, Android, Tablet) leading the charge of completing screens, designing and organizing app assets, and handing off final screen designs, imagery, and illustrations. to developers. I worked closely with with marketing, illustrators, technical UX writers, project owners, product stakeholders, and app developers.

Next Steps
Working within Bose’s structured design system, I pulled all relevant screens for on-the-go product set ups and update product information (names, images, features, functions). Broken up and organized in Figma, we use files with different pages for each product dependent on the category: on-the-go or in-the-home. Within each page, we organize by device type the Bose app supports.
Along with screen design and structure, I was responsible for outlining and working with marketing and illustrators to build out our product asset library.
Last step is to finalize look and feel of key pages with layout, copy, and imagery.

From there, I created and exported a final flow diagram with all screens. These flows are key for conversations with stakeholders and engineers.
Final Product
Bose Ultra Open Earbuds launched in February of 2024 and have truly pushed the boundaries of open ear headphones and have 4.5 star reviews. They were also included in Times list of Best Inventions of 2024!
